Vanilla-Tarragon Pickled Cherries
Crafted By: Katie + Jessie Hancock
We love Unbound Pickling's attention to detail. Using produce sourced locally from direct relationships with farmers - their pickles are guaranteed fresh. These pickled cherries are no different! Sweet, yet tart, these wonderfully aromatic jewels are soaked in a pure vanilla and fresh tarragon-laced brine giving them a complex flavor.
The perfect accompaniment to a cheese and charcuterie board or atop vanilla ice cream, these pickled cherries are also great in a variety of other preparations. Do like our test kitchen team and serve alongside roast venison and wild boar; craft a salad with burrata, persimmon and mint; or garnish an Old Fashioned.
About Unbound Pickling
This married duo share a passion for creating and eating good food - it's one of the driving forces behind their relationship. Together they shared a dream to someday start a business in which they could work together and build on their love of food. One fall day, after picking a particularly large amount of green beans from their family garden, they decided to preserve the harvest and at that moment Unbound Pickling was born. Officially launching in summer 2009, the duo immediately focused their attention to capturing and pickling the wide array of produce found throughout the Pacific Northwest.
Their vegetables and herbs are locally sourced through direct relationships with farmers ensuring Unbound Pickling obtains peak freshness. Using only all natural ingredients and high quality, seasonal vegetables and herbs each jar is carefully monitored and hand-packed. Their products are differentiated by their extraordinary quality and unconventional assortment of varieties and flavors.
