About Chef Bacon
Having grown up in South Carolina, I learned from an early age to appreciate the seasonal bounty and eclectic flavors of this region. I’m excited to showcase some of my favorite local artisanal purveyors through my collaboration with The FareTrade - which recall my upbringing and journey as a chef having worked at restaurants such as Per Se and Le Bernardin before returning home. As a chef I am dedicated to establishing relationships with local farmers and producers, incorporating them on the menu at my restaurant, the Macintosh. My goal is to share with you the best of the Lowcountry - approachable, homespun, and instilling feelings of Southern hospitality.
The products featured in my basket are chosen with the summer in mind - bright and full-flavored. The dishes I’ve crafted exclusively for you are seasonally inspired, technique-driven and mostly locally sourced. I hope it fuels you to fire up the grill, crack open a beer, and enjoy the region I call home.
