About Chef Jenn Louis
My mantra has always been to remain consistent, simple, and purposeful. Adopting this philosophy and approach has guided my culinary career from day one and nearly twenty years later is something I often think apon. After graduating from Pitzer College in Claremont, CA I traveled throughout the world, eating, drinking, and gaining a newfound appreciation for the way food connects us all. After returning stateside, I enrolled in the Western Culinary Institute of Portland, working in many of the area's leading restaurants. In 2000, my entrepreneurial spirit led to the creation of Culinary Artistry, a full-service catering company that has become one of Portland's top event planning companies.
Today, I produly own and operate both Lincoln Restaurant - a melding of modern and classic restaurant sensibilities complemented by locally-grown seasonal ingredients - and Sunshine Tavern, a casual family-driven neighborhood tavern. This appreciation for both homegrown and sophisticated experiences is what led me to The FareTrade. The chance to collaborate and fill a basket with artisans at the forefront of their craft speaks directly to the ideology I've followed forever, and having the ability to share exclusive recipes will hopefully allow you to produce an outstanding meal for your friends and family to be inspired by, enjoy some global flavors, and connect over.
