Tricks From The Trade | Jerusalem Grilled Cheese

Jerusalem Artichoke Grilled Cheese


Aged Cheddar Cheese - the older the better, we like it SHARP

2 Tablespoons of Charleston's Favorites - Jerusalem Artichoke Relish


Butter.  The Good Stuff.



Slice bread if not pre-sliced.

Grate your cheese.

Place cheese on one side of bread.

Slather Jerusalem Artichoke Relish over the cheese.

Close sandwich.


Head a pan on the stove with a tablespoon of butter over high heat.

Once butter begins to brown, place the sandwich in the pan and lower head to medium-low.

After 2-3 minuets (or until bread begins to brown), flip your grilled cheese, applying more butter to the pan.

Cook for another 2-3 minuets, add butter + flip again

Once cheese is gooey and the bread is golden-brown-delicious, remove grilled cheese to cutting board.

Slice your grilled cheese at a bisecting angle.
